Anjanette is the director of Conserve the Cal Madow and a board member of the Somaliland Biodiversity Foundation and the National Park Conservation Association. She received her doctorate in natural resources from the University of Vermont and has worked on projects around the world, including in Somaliland, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. She was the Program Coordinator at the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics and was a previous lead PI for USAID, as well as staff for the Natural Resources Defense Council and UN UNSO Office.

Lead Forest Ecologist
Ahmed is the project’s lead ecologist and an expert on Somaliland ecosystems. He has extensive experience working in the Cal Madow on forestry and restoration projects, as well as across Somaliland and Ethiopia. He has previously worked for UN FAO, private foundations, and as a consultant for NGOs.
